Main Pitch

The main pitch has once again been renovated and will be ready in time for the start of the 2009/2010 season.

Despite holding more than 100 games during the 2009/2010 season, this years work was fairly minor.

The main pitch is normally used for the County Competition Finals, Representative Squad matches and the occasional Leicester City Academy game.

It has also been used for hosting pro-clubs when playing Leicester City in mid-week matches. Clubs include Leeds United and Milwall and the County were also very close to hosting Ghana during their build-up to the 2006 World Cup Finals in Germany. The pitch was also used for the England and Italy Under 17 teams to train on prior to their matches in August 2009.

Our Groundsman, Paul 'Gus' Geary, has a wealth of experience - most notabily during his time at both The Baseball Ground and Pride Park for Derby County FC.
