Despite holding more than 110 games during the 2009/2010 season, the pitch held up incredibly well but needed a large amount of work on it this summer.
The main pitch is normally used for the County Competition Finals, Representative Squad matches and the occasional Leicester City Academy game.
As well as the above fixtures, we are delighted to host England training camps and matches. During the past season we have seen England U19 and U17 men and England U23 and U20 women use the facilities.
It has also been used for hosting pro-clubs when playing Leicester City in mid-week matches. Clubs include Leeds United FC and Milwall FC and the County were also very close to hosting Ghana during their build-up to the 2006 World Cup Finals in Germany.
Our Groundsman, Paul 'Gus' Geary, has a wealth of experience - most notabily during his time at both The Baseball Ground and Pride Park for Derby County FC.
