FA Adult Level 1 Courses

The Course is aimed at:
Managers/ Coaches/ Administrators with responsibility for running open age football teams.

Course Content:
1 ) Administration - examples of how clubs are run / efficiency / committee structures / individual responsibilities
2 ) Recruitment of new players - planning for the future / ways of recruiting
3 ) Volunteers - recruitment / keeping them involved
4)  Running purposeful training sessions - incorporating technical and fitness work
5 ) Conducting Coaching sessions - organising practices / players / developing practices
6 ) Use of feedback - using positive feedback / using constructive feedback / providing information
7 ) Child Protection Issues - when working with U18 Players
8 ) Basic fitness needs - needs of the game / identifying required fitness levels / incorporating into practical work
9 ) Nutrition - food/ fluids - requirements for football

To obtain the FA Introductory Certificate in Adult Coaching, candidates must attend all related sessions and show competence in all units.

Booking Information:
The costs for all FA Introductory Certificate in Adult Coaching courses are as follows:
- £40 per candidate.
- £30 per candidate, if the candidate is part of the Leicestershire & Rutland Coaches Association.
- £30 per candidate if the candidate is from an FA Charter Standard Club or School. A letter from the club or school, on official club or school letter headed paper, must be supplied with the candidates application form as proof.
