The FA Goalkeeping Coaching Award is a Level 1 Course introduced as the latest qualification in the Goalkeeping Coaching Education structure. The course has open access and is available to a person or coach over 16 years of age who wants to improve their ‘Technical’ knowledge of Goalkeeping. It is highly recommended for a candidate to hold an FA Emergency Aid and a Safe Guarding Children in Football Certificate. Though, the County FA will be holding workshops to cover these 2 modules. The FA will not be able to certify any candidate with the award until these 2 modules have been completed.
FA Safe Guarding Children in Football:
Certificated 3 hour course, the Safeguarding Children Tutor needs to sign off in your CP. The certificate will be mailed direct to the address you register and should arrive within 4 – 6 weeks. This or a copy should be inserted into your CP as evidence of attendance on the course workshop.
FA Emergency Aid:
Certificated 3 hour course, the First Aid Tutor needs to sign off in your CP. Certificates will be mailed direct to you within 6 weeks or if the course is over a number of weeks it may well be given to you prior to the conclusion of the course. The certificate, or a copy should be inserted into your CP as evidence of attendance on the course.

To obtain the Goalkeeping Level 1 Certificate in Coaching Football, candidates must attend all related sessions and show competence in all units.
