Following on from last years wheelchair events, wheelchair users will be given further opportunities and 2 events has been organised at Aylestone Leisure Centre on 22nd February 2008 and June 27th 2008, where players will learn new skills and play games against each other.

The Nottingham Power-chair Football Club will be coming along to the events and coaches and players will offer their expert advice and support. Nottingham Powerchair Football Club are members of the Wheelchair Football Association and compete in the National League, with league competitions held at central venues around the Country over 5 weekends throughout the season.

To assist clubs and coaches to develop this field of disability football, a Wheelchair Football Coaching Course has recently been piloted and will be ready for delivery in the early part of 2008. This will involve using specially designed chairs and attachments used in the game.
