Leicestershire & Rutland FA - developing football for everyone
Development - take your skills to the next level

Education

Our aim is to work with key partners to ensure youngsters of all abilities can participate in high quality football sessions both in and out of school. We also hope to support the delivery of football to youngsters in post 16 education.

Leicestershire & Rutland County FA's Football Development team work together with key partners to develop ‘opportunities for all’ to increase participation in football activity during their time in education. In order to achieve this, we aim to increase knowledge and expertise as well as raising standards by providing training courses, equipment and support.

We have a range of programmes and classroom resources to support the development of football in schools. Working with our colleagues at The FA, Leicester City FITC, SSP’s and local authorities we can provide a wide range of support and resources for schools. The FA Charter Standard Schools' programme is a kite marking scheme that supports Primary, Special and Secondary Schools that are keen to use football as a medium for delivering high quality PE lessons as well as out of school hours opportunities for both boys and girls of all abilities.
