Club Development

A network of Inclusive Clubs / Partnerships around the City and County give opportunities for All to participate in football.

Theses Clubs/Partnerships have been developed through Football Association Charter Standard Football Clubs, Local Authorities, School Sports Partnerships and other key local agencies.

As part of the Charter Standard, Clubs have to meet certain criteria, therefore ensuring, qualified and experienced coaching staff, safeguarding children policies, first aid trained staff and volunteers for support.

Clubs provide opportunities for both, youngsters and adults, females and males.

CHARNWOOD AREA

Charnwood Inclusive Football Partnership

Charter Standard Clubs Involved:
Loughborough Dynamo JFC, Castle Donnington FC, Kegworth Imps FC, Loughborough Foxes Womens & Girls FC.

Training takes places every Monday at Burliegh Communtiy College in the Sportshall 6.30pm – 7.30pm

Leicester City Woodgate Inclusive Football Partnership

FA Charter Standard Clubs Involved:

Leicester City Ladies FC & Woodgate 80 FC Ltd
Working together to provide Football for All

The Club hold different categories of training:

  • Female Training for Girls and Ladies from 5years of age up to adults
  • Youth Male 12 years to 16 years of age
  • Male adults aged 16 years of age plus

Weekly: Thursdays 4.30 – 6.00 pm
St. Margarets Pastures Sports Centre, St. Margarets Way, Leicester.

Training for youngsters male and females from 5 – 11 years of age links into the

FA Tesco Skills Centre held at New College, off Glenfield Road every Thursday 4.30 – 5.30 pm

NORTH WEST LEICSTER AREA

FA Charter Standard Clubs involved:

Heather St. Johns FC gained FA Charter Standard Community Status and work very closely with the North West Leicestershire Schools Sport Patnership.

Heather host several Inclusive and mainstream football festivals at their home ground and deliver football coaching in many Primary schools within the area for youngsters with a disability or special need to be part of their Club as they look to develop their Inclusive Football Teams.

Ibstock Utd Juniors & Youth FC

Ibstock Utd are an FA Charter Standard Club and are very keen to develop opportunities to youngsters, adults, males and females, with a disability/special need to become involved in their Club and train and play football on a regular basis.

The Club will be commencing Inclusive Football around Easter 2010.

HINCKLEY & BOSWORTH DISTRICT

Key Partners Involved: 

AFC Barwell is the driving force in this area in developing opportunities for youngsters, adults, males and females who have a variety of disabilites to train and play football on a regular basis.

Hinckley & Bosworth District Council and the Hinckley & Bosworth School Sports Partnership are very supportive of the development of Inclusive Football within their locality and offer great support the AFC Barwell in their development work.

Football Training is held every Thursday:
5.00 pm – 6.00 pm at the Greene King Stadium, Leicester Road, Hinckley on the artifical grass pitch.
