We will now be able to provide regular events for schools and also offer an opportunity to play power-chair football at the weekends and play against other teams around the Midlands and working in partnership with Leicester City Football in the Community Trust, develop our very own Leicestershire Foxes Power-chair Football Club.
Power-chair Football provides a great opportunity for all those potential players who want to play our great game of football, who have a physical disability and use a power-chair or manual wheelchair for mobility.
Power-chair Football is a very exciting, adapted game of football, which requires skill and an understanding of the game, just the same as local and league football. There is a great national competition structure in place, where teams from all over the Country come together over several weekends in the year as part of the League Fixture Programme, it is all very competitive and great to take part in and a very interesting spectator sport.
Power-chair Football is a game where males and females can compete together in the same team and players of all ages can be involved, players from the age of 8 years up to adults, both males and females are invited to join. The Club is also looking to gain the support of partners to sponsor the project and also volunteers and coaches to become involved.
We have 2 events during October 2010:

Midlands Power-chair Football Festival
Nottingham University 10am – 2.00pm
Sunday 10th October
