At the Grass Roots Show in Birmingham, the FA celebrated the work of a group of young leaders who for the past 3 years have been behind the scene organising the FA National Young Leaders Camp. The 10 graduates from different counties made their final commitment to Donna McIvor, The FA National Manager for Education by presenting a summary of their time on the Young Leaders Management Group.
Amongst those receiving the award was Prahiv Kholia, ex student at Bosworth Community College and now studying at a University in Cambridge, who was one of 4 young leaders in 2006 representing Leicestershire & Rutland at the first ever National FA Young Leaders Camp held at Ascot in London. Prathiv or otherwise better known as 'Storma' was selected to be part of the management group at the camp in 2007 and was then selected to travel to Malawi and be part of the FA project 'Changing Lives'.
All young leaders have now committed to be part of the young leaders mentoring programme, helping the undergraduates and they will be the first group to support FA projects in Higher Education. Well done to all!
