Leicestershire Girls U9’s and U10’s Central Venue League Report

The Leicestershire & Rutland County FA and The Leicestershire County Girls League have worked closely since the start of the season to provide football for Under 10’s and Under 9’s Girls teams.

The League has been based at central venues around the county such as Judgemeadow Community College in Evington, Oadby & Wigston Girls FC in Countesthorpe and Brockington Community College in Enderby.

Teams have been playing matches on a 5-a-side basis playing to 2 matches per league date giving the girls 40 minutes of football each league meeting.

Adam Holyoake, Football Development Officer said ‘The league this season has been a great success, it show the tremendous work clubs are putting in the development of girls football. Developing teams at this age group lays the foundation for the future of girl’s football in Leicestershire and Rutland.’
