Local Football Facility Plans

LONG TERM STRATEGIC PLANS TO HELP FOCUS AND DRIVE INVESTMENT INTO LOCAL GRASSROOTS FOOTBALL FACILITIES

The Leicestershire & Rutland County FA have worked alongside partners at the Football Foundation and local authorities to develop Local Football Facility Plans (LFFPs) in each local authority area of the county. These plans enable targeted investment in community facilities that is based on the need over the next 10 years and are strongly considered when determining the need for capital investment into football facilities.

Where a need is cited in the LFFP, this does not automatically guarantee the success of investment into that area, site or project. Each project must still follow the relevant application process and demonstrate delivery against key football outcomes. The facilities in which we invest in must be of good quality, be sustainable and attract sufficient, suitable match-funding to make facility projects a reality.

We work collaboratively with key stakeholders across the county to deliver local priority projects identified within the LFFPs, so have a look at your LFFP to see how or if you could play your part.
