Refereeing Good News Stories

We would like to offer our congratulations to John Brooks following today’s announcement that he has been selected to officiate as Assistant Referee for this season’s FA Challenge Trophy Final.

The match between Cambridge United v Gosport Borough at Wembley Stadium on Sunday 23 March 2014. The match will be refereed by Craig Pawson (Sheffield & Hallamshire FA), the other Assistant Referee is Lee Betts (Norfolk FA) and the Fourth Official, Tony Harrington (Durham FA)

This prestigious appointment is a great reward for John’s hard work and his consistently high levels of performance in his matches on the Premier League.

Congratulations also go to Guy Stretton following his appointment as Assistant Referee for this season’s Johnstone’s Paint Trophy Final.

The match will see Chesterfield v Peterborough United contest the Final at Wembley Stadium on Sunday 30 March 2014. Guy will make up the officiating team along with Referee Andy D’Urso, Assistant Referee Ian Cooper, Fourth Official Iain Williamson and Reserve Assistant Referee Andy Hendley.

This is a great appointment for Guy and demonstrates his consistently impressive performances on the Football League over the course of the season.
