Last Chance to Join Monday Floodlight League

Now is the last chance for teams to join Leicestershire & Rutland County FA’s Monday Floodlight League, with only two places remaining!
Registrations are still open for season three of the Monday Floodlight League. The league will kick off on Monday 20 February and teams can still reserve their place until Wednesday 15 February.

The league comprise of eight teams, with each side playing fortnightly on a Monday evening. Officiated by qualified referees on a full-size 3G surface at Aylestone Park Football Club, games will kick off at either 8:05pm or 9:05pm, comprising of two 25-minute halves with rolling substitutes.

All teams consisting of players aged 16 or above are welcome, with no limit placed on squad size, and results and fixtures will be available to view online via The FA’s Full Time website, along with player registrations, reducing the amount of administration teams need to undertake.

Fay Longdon, Football Development Officer at the Leicestershire & Rutland County FA, said: “After two successful seasons of our Monday Floodlight League, I am pleased to be able to get another season underway!

“The idea of the Monday Floodlight League is to provide full-sided football for those that may have been away from it for a while, hopefully, with a view to encouraging more players to join Saturday or Sunday league clubs. We also understand that work and family commitments can prevent football from being played over weekends, therefore, by making games flexible and held on a Monday evening within excellent facilities, more people can get back involved in the game in its full form.”

Registration is being welcomed for teams now. To register a team, applicants should complete the registration form below. Registration will also require a £20 deposit, with £35 (£3 per player if teams have 11 plus a substitute) to be paid per-fixture.
