FA Talent Identification Programmes (TIPs) will be utilised as environments to identify and signpost players to the right environment at that point in time.
They will run on a yearly basis to ensure that players can be viewed annually and kept in the Talent System.
TIPs will commence with an England Talent Day before leading into a six week prescriptive player assessment/signposting period.
The England Talent Day is an integral part of The FA's new Disability Talent Pathway, identifying young players playing disability and mainstream football aged between 12-16 years old for the 2015/16 season, and is one of 35 which will be taking place.
The programme is quality assured to support the development of young talented disabled players, offering a clear pathway. Leicestershire and Rutland County FA is running their England Talent Day on Saturday 25 March 2017 at Brooksby Melton Sports Campus, Brooksby Campus, Melton Mowbray, LE14 2LJ (just past Rearsby), from 11am to 1pm.
Can you help unearth the next England International footballer?
Within your role supporting grassroots football in Leicestershire, do you know a football player with any of the following impairments or disabilities?
We are currently looking for suitable players who have an impairment or disability to attend the day, with the possibility of being put forward for a Regional Talent Centre.
If you know a player who you think may be suitable we would love to hear from you.
It might not be your best player; in fact, you may not realise how good the player is in relation to their own impairment group, so please let us know about them or please inform them or their parents of the opportunity.
If you have any questions, are unsure whether someone will be eligible or unsure how to approach the subject of impairments/disabilities with players, please don’t hesitate to contact Philippa Bass (Football Development Officer (Disability) at Philippa.Bass@LeicestershireFA.com or by phone on 0116 2844952.
