Opportunities available to play a leading role in the development of girl’s football!

If you are passionate about the future development of girl’s football in Leicestershire & Rutland, are motivated to make a difference to the girl’s game and have the ability be solution focused then the Leicester City and County Girls Football League have opportunities that could meet your ambitions.

As part of the leagues continued drive to grow the female game, the league are actively seeking individuals to fulfil vital roles on the league committee to help move the league forwards. There are numerous roles available, which include;

  • League Chairperson
  • League Secretary
  • League Welfare Officer
  • League Discipline Secretary

Although roles are voluntary, the potential impact an individual can make in these roles is quite significant.

The Leicestershire & Rutland County FA have been in discussion with the league, and will offer one-to-one support to any new volunteers wishing to step up onto the league committee. This one-to-one support will continue until such time the new volunteers are embedded and happy with the roles required in running the league. Should you have any questions about the support on offer from the County FA, please contact Shaun Waite, Football Development Officer (Participation), on 0116 284 4951 or email Shaun.Waite@LeicestershireFA.com.

In addition, the retiring officers on the current league committee are available and willing to offer support to any individuals that step forwards. This will ensure a smooth transition into next season, and enforce that no volunteer needs to feel they will not be supported.

For an informal conversation, or to find out more about the roles mentioned above, please contact the retiring League Chairman, Bill Almen on 07775 841376, or chairman@leicestergirlsleague.co.uk
