Coaching Event Mentoring Adults

LRCFA Youth Forum

Leicestershire and Rutland County FA are looking for volunteers to join our new Youth Forum!

Grassroots football is thriving thanks to an army of volunteers who selflessly dedicate their time week in week out to support the game and ensure that football happens in our county. Part of that army are young people who fulfil many roles, including coaches and referees and we want to find those volunteers and help support them fulfil their potential.

We want to help young volunteers to become the workforce of the future and offer opportunities to develop personal skills in practical situations in addition to supporting and shaping the future of the grassroots game in the county.

The new Youth Forum is a platform for young people, who are part of grassroots football and want to have a voice! A place where you can share your views, opinions and thoughts on all areas of the game in our county and influence the future development of football for all participants.  You don’t need to be currently playing or volunteering, you just need to be passionate, willing and dedicated to making a difference. In addition, we want to help you develop skills to become leaders and the future workforce of the grassroots game.

If you are aged 16 – 25 (or know somebody who is) we want you to be part of the forum, to help shape what it looks like and what exactly the groups aims will be. The benefits of being part of the new forum include,

  • CV building
  • Increased employability
  • Hands on experience in the football/sport industry
  • Developing and working alongside a network of people from all walks of life
  • Gaining communication and organisation skills (among others)
  • Qualifications
  • Making friends for life
  • Free stash!

In addition to the personal development there is also the opportunity for you to get involved in County FA delivered events and the chance to represent Leicestershire & Rutland CFA at the FA National Youth Camp held St Georges Park, where you will meet other young volunteers from around the country on a three day residential stay.

We encourage you to apply to join the forum by completing a short application and then attend the meeting on Thursday 27th February, 7pm – 8:30pm at Holmes Park. Deadline for applications is Tuesday 18th February and those who we accept onto the forum will be notified on or before 20th February.
