Rep squad in action

Leicestershire & Rutland Representative Squad

Leicestershire & Rutland County FA U18 Rep Squad compete in the Midland Counties Youth League and won the league as recently as the 2016/17 season where a final day 4-0 win against Birmingham CFA was needed to secure the title.

In addition to the league, the rep squad also compete in The FA Counties Youth Cup. The only time Leicestershire & Rutland CFA have won this cup was back in 1966, although a Semi Final and Quarter Final appearance in the 15/16 and 16/17 season respectively shows great promise for the County FA.

The current manager is Nimesh Patel, assisted by Amro Khalid and Shay Brennan.

The squad play the majority of home matches at the home of the County FA, Holmes Park, and play in Green Shirts, Shorts and Socks.

FAQs
Trials are put on at the start of each season, in which the manager requests clubs to put forward any players they feel would be good enough. Throughout the season the management team may attend games to watch certain players. If you are good enough you could be called up to the next fixture.
Unfortunately league and FA Rules do not permit players with contracts to participate in representative football.

For a player to be eligible for the U18 Rep Squad you need to be 16 or 17 years of age on or before the 31st August. If you are 18 when the 31st August passes, unfortunately you are too old!

To drop out of the squad for any reason other than injury, you will need to contact the office and they will consult with the chairman.

If you have a complaint please contact the office. Alternatively you can email Dylan.Clarke@LeicestershireFA.com
