LRCFA Appoints New Competitions Coordinator
The Leicestershire and Rutland County FA (LRCFA) is delighted to announce the appointment of Megan Scott as Competitions Coordinator.
Megan joined the LRCFA in a part-time role at the start of September, having recently graduated from Birmingham City University with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Coaching and Physical Education.
With 14 years of experience in grassroots football, having started playing at the age of seven, Megan has always cherished the County Cup games. Her deep passion for football and commitment to the growth of the women’s game are evident.
In her new role, Megan will coordinate all County Cups, oversee the sanctioning of tournaments and charity games across Leicestershire and Rutland, manage the Association’s out-of-season tournaments, and support the Services teams with essential day-to-day tasks.
Megan Scott expressed her enthusiasm for the role, she said: “I am thrilled to join the LRCFA and look forward to contributing to the organisation’s ongoing success.
“My experiences in grassroots football have been incredibly fulfilling, and I’m excited to support and enhance the competitions we offer.”
Joe Dunmore, CEO of the LRCFA, also shared his delight about Megan’s appointment. He added: “We are delighted to welcome Megan to the team.
“Her extensive experience and passion for football will be a great asset in her new role. We are confident that Megan will bring fresh energy and valuable insights to our competitions.”
In addition to Megan’s appointment, we are pleased to announce that Zoe Boon, Volunteer Coordinator at the LRCFA, will be expanding her role within the County FA to become the Discipline Investigation Support Coordinator.
Zoe will continue her work from last season as part of the successful pilot programme which was designed to raise awareness of discrimination and its impact through education within our grassroots football community.
