Affiliation

The AFFILIATION window is now open for the 2019/20 season

The Club Affiliation window has now opened for the 2019/20 season. To affiliate please visit https://wholegame.thefa.com and log in using the details that you already use. If you need any help with this please contact affiliation@leicestershirefa.com 

We encourage all clubs to log in sooner rather than later to undertake the affiliation and to report any queries to affiliation@leicestershirefa.com

Please ensure that all football activities at the Club are affiliated; this includes league teams, development teams and other football sessions being run by or on behalf of the Club.

If you are unsure whether you are continuing as a club next season, or unsure which teams the club will have, please still ensure you have completed the process before the deadline, to avoid accruing any further costs. If you then contact us regarding the payment of the invoices we can assist with a more suitable payment deadline.

**Please Note – if you have paid for a team that does not start the season we can issue a refund, please contact us if this is the case.**

The deadline for the submission of the online affiliation application, along with payment, is 30th June 2019.

Those not wishing to pay online can download an invoice once the affiliation has been submitted and this can then be returned with a cheque or by visiting us to pay in cash.

IMPORTANT - you must ensure all club data is correctly entered through Whole Game as this is the information that is used in Full Time. To understand how this information is carried over please download this guide

Insurance 

This season, Leicestershire and Rutland FA has taken the decision to increase the minimum levels of personal accident insurance required for affiliation and process this via a group policy.

The minimum cover for affiliated Youth teams has changed from Basic to Superior Gold while the minimum cover for affiliated Adult teams has changed from Basic to Intermediate.

The Board took the decision to increase the minimum required cover, to ensure wider protection for all players in the event of an injury whilst playing or training. A policy brochure can be downloaded here

All teams will be required to take out insurance through their affiliation to Leicestershire and Rutland County FA under a group scheme.

Further top up cover options are available via the National Game Insurance Scheme (NGIS) which provide additional and enhanced benefits.  Full details of the cover options available can be found at www.bluefinsport.co.uk/ngis

In addition to Personal accident insurance, Public Liability Insurance can be taken out directly with the County Association or by uploading a copy of your cover for the 2019/20 season within the online portal. The cost of this is in the table below, if you wish to purchase through ourselves (cover is supplied by BlueFin).

Please Note - Personal accident insurance and public liability insurance are different and both are required.

Requirements for all Youth clubs

All youth team managers and coaches (teams under 18 and below) should be listed with their respective team(s) and are required to have an accepted FA Criminal Records Check (CRC) dated within the last 3 years at the point of affiliation. Managers and Coaches can be submitted without an in-date CRC check but affiliation cannot be approved by the County FA until they have an in-date CRC check (in line with FA regulations) showing on their FAN. All questions relating to this should be directed to safeguarding@leicestershirefa.com

Along with the above it is now a mandatory requirement for all Clubs with youth teams (teams under 18 and below) for a minimum of four committee members (Secretary, Chairman, Treasurer & Welfare Officer) to complete an online Safeguarding for Committee Members course. Additional club committee members can take this course if they wish. This course can be found at the following link - https://learning.thefa.com/enrol/index.php?id=308.  Please note that the course will take about an hour but you can return and complete it in stages. The affiliation application can be submitted before the committee members have completed the online Safeguarding for Committee Members course but affiliation cannot be approved by the County FA until all mandatory persons have completed the course.
