Female footballers with an impairment playing football

Impairment Specific Football

impairment specific football is a format for players with the same impairment to play together.

Typically, the rules and format are changed to make the game as inclusive and accessible as possible.

What types of impairment football are there?

Deaf Football

blind football

frame football

amputee football

powerchair football

Cerebral palsy football

Partially sighted football

Within Leicestershire there are currently opportunities for Blind, Partially Sighted and Powerchair players. Although we unfortunately do not have other impairment specific formats, there are opportunities to play PAN-Disability football. You can find a PAN-Disability team by clicking here
