The Foxes have won the County Cup two seasons in a row after beating Dunton & Broughton United Juniors 4-3 on penalties to clinch the Girls U12 County Cup under the lights at Holmes Park.

The match was a testament to the defensive prowess of both teams, with resilient backlines limiting attacking opportunities, resulting in a nail-biting affair.

However, it was Epworth who came the closest to breaking the deadlock after seven minutes, when a brilliant strike from their attacker clipped the post.

With nothing to separate the two sides during full time, penalties followed, which saw Epworth score four penalties and Dunton score three after missing the first and last penalty of the shootout.

It was a heart-breaking outcome for Dunton & Broughton United, who battled hard against a resilient Epworth side, however, Epworth showed their class from the penalty spot and were crowned Howes Percival U12 Girls County Cup champions.
