All “One Off” Or Small Sided Competitions Within Leicestershire & Rutland, Must Be Sanctioned By Leicestershire & Rutland CFA. This Includes Tournaments, Festivals And Charity Based Matches. This Applies To U7 Through To Open Aged Competitions.

Should this not be done, all competing clubs and participating referees will not be covered by their insurances and are liable to disciplinary action.

There are a large number of tournaments that take place across Leicestershire & Rutland, at the bottom of this page is list of those tournaments/festivals that have currently been sanctioned to run. The list will be updated as and when additional tournaments are sanctioned, so please check back regularly.

Therefore, prior to entering a team into a tournament we would recommend that you check the list to ensure that it is sanctioned.

The lowest age group that is permitted to play organised fixtures is U7, any events that contain U6 fixtures will not be sanctioned. In accordance with The FA’s Standard Code of Rules (Youth):

Rule 18 (C)       A child who has not attained the age of 6 shall not play, and shall not be permitted or encouraged to play, in a match of any kind.
