WELCOME TO THE OPENING OF THE 2020/21 CLUB AFFILIATION WINDOW!
As we’re sure you’ll understand, finding the right time to open the affiliation window has proven to be quite complex during lockdown, but with a large number of our clubs wanting to get ahead with some of their pre-season administration, we’ve made the decision to open the window now even though we do not have a start date for football.
However, as with all plans during these times of uncertainty, please be aware that we may have to make further changes at short notice. We are monitoring Government advice closely regarding the lockdown situation and will update you all should there be any significant changes.
We are currently operating on a reduced number of staff due to the majority currently being on furlough leave, so please be understanding if we are unable to respond to your queries straight away. We are making affiliations an absolute priority, so we can assure you that any queries will be dealt with as soon as possible. Please direct all your affiliation questions to email@example.com and not directly to members of staff.
We have made several changes to the affiliation process this season largely as a result of the impacts COVID-19 has had on football, but hopefully these changes will make the process easier and with cost savings for you all.
In summary the changes are:
- Free Club Affiliation
- Reduced Team Affiliation Fees
- Reduced Personal Accident Insurance Fees
- The lifting of some safeguarding requirements for affiliation purposes only (these must be in place for when football resumes)
- Late fees will not be imposed on affiliation this season
- Payment terms extended
- Payments only through the Whole Game System
- County Cups not added at this point

With the uncertainty of when the football season will begin and what it may look like moving forward for the 2020/21 season, LRCFA has taken the decision to hold off from automatically enrolling teams into the County Cups. Once we have a clearer view of the season, we will revisit the County Cups for the season to see what will be feasible.

Please note that becoming affiliated for the 2020/21 season is NOT an indication that your club and its players can start arranging matches. It is crucial that we all continue to follow Government, Public Health England and Football Association guidelines and for now, for the safety of all those involved in football, we ask you to respect these guidelines.
