Highfield Rangers to celebrate 50 years
Highfield Rangers will be celebrating their 50th anniversary year in 2020 and are hosting a number of commemorative events to recognise this golden milestone to promote this great achievement.
The organisation was formed in 1970, beginning as a youth football team and over the years has established and enhanced its reputation over many activities, which has involved members across the community, whether they be young or old and involved in sporting or other activities, having a community emphasis.
Highfield Rangers has shown its value to the community by developing and running a job creation scheme and training in support of those in the community, that have wished to take up opportunities in financial services.
The organisation has always been run on a voluntary basis and has gained many accolades over this period of time. In recent years it has achieved charity status to reflect their work, they are FA Charter Standard accredited and have received the Honour Citizen Award. The club always strives to provide a safe, welcoming environment for our members and other users to become socially active.
This fits in with the clubs focus on the development of young people using sporting aspirations as a vehicle to develop their ability to work within a team environment, encouraging discipline and building self confidence within an organised structure.
