Pitch Improvement Programme

Funding success for Leicestershire clubs

Success for clubs drawing down funding across the county

Since the beginning of January, clubs in Leicestershire have been huge beneficiaries of grants from the Football Foundation to help improve facilities.  To date, 15 clubs have received £1,077,067 between them to support grassroots football!  This includes funding for Kirby Muxloe FC towards a stadia 3G pitch and enhanced grass pitch maintenance funding for Oadby Owls, Barrow Town, Castle Donington, Highfield Rangers, Whetstone Juniors, Ibstock United Juniors and Blaby & Whetstone FC.

Bottesford FC and Aylestone Park Youth FC have received funding towards maintenance machinery to also assist with pitch maintenance and ensure pitches are of a good standard.

Six clubs and organisations (Mountsorrell Juniors, Asfordby Amateurs, One Touch Football Club, Castle Donington FC, Mowbray Rangers and Wreake Valley Academy) have received funding for goalposts.

Saffron Dynamo’s Football Club have received funding from the Football Stadia Improvement Fund towards a new stand to help with ground grading and following their fire earlier in the season Hathern Football Club have received £5,000 towards refurbishments from the National Sports Centre Trust Self Help Fund

Congratulations to all the clubs who have been successful with funding applications.  For clubs who have project ideas and /or would like to discuss any funding applications please contact Caroline Smith at caroline.smith@leicestershirefa.com or call 07502 039072
