The Leicestershire and Rutland County FA are pleased to launch the referee promotion scheme for the 2021/22 season.

Applying for promotion is the first step to officiating at a higher level. Every referee starts from the ‘bottom of the ladder’ looking to learn and develop their skills throughout their refereeing career. Some referees may have a certain target of reaching the Premier League, whereas others may just want to challenge themselves to become a better referee.

Referees are reminded that prior to applying for promotion for the 2021/22 season, they should read through our Referee Promotion Booklet 21/22 which outlines specific criteria which are required in order to be successful in achieving promotion to the next refereeing level.

The Referee Promotion Season will then run from 1st August 2021 - 31st May 2022. Referees have until the 31^st July 2021 to apply at a cost of £30 for the season.
