On Thursday 10th February, former Professional Footballer Paul Stewart, will lead a talk on how he is a survivor of historical sexual abuse in football during his childhood.
During this presentation, Paul highlights the importance of safeguarding in football and how historic failings in safeguarding resulted in the abuse that he suffered. He will also discuss how this impacted on him not only at that time but continues to throughout his life.
Paul's workshop will last for around one hour and highlights how critical safeguarding work is to the game, and the importance of grassroots clubs in ensuring that football is fun, safe, and enjoyable.
