On Thursday 10^th August, all members of Council were invited to attended the first council meeting. The first order of business was to conclude the vote for the positions of Chair, Vice Chair and President of Council. The members voted to re-elect:

1. Sharon Reason as Chair of the Council, 
2. Keith Johnson as Vice Chair of Council and 
3. John Ball as the President of Council. 

John Ball, President of Council said,

"I am delighted that the Membership have re-elected me as President, a position I regard as a privilege.  To have Sharon and Keith re-elected as Chair and Vice Chair of the Council allows continuity in taking the Association forward.  We are making positive moves with the Board, Council and Staff working together to ensure a future dynamic Association based on the principles of RESPECT and being VALUED as key to the process. The future looks very positive in the promotion of football in Leicestershire and Rutland".

Sharon Reason (L), Keith Johnson (C) and John Ball (R), re-elected for the 2023/24 season.

Council is made up of representatives of all the Sanctioned Leagues, District and Local Authority Club Representatives and Life Members of the association. They are also supported by members of Staff and members of the Associations Board. Council will meet a further 3 times this season to co-inside with the end of each quarter.  

The 2023/24 season will see Council operate four key Committees. These Committees are made up of members of Council and supported by staff. The chosen members for these committees are:
