Grass Pitch Maintenance support evening at Seagrave Training Ground
In partnership with the Leicester City Sports Turf Academy and the Grounds Management Association, the Leicestershire & Rutland County FA are inviting local clubs and partners to an evening at the Leicester City Training Ground in Seagrave, to learn more about the Grass Pitch Maintenance Programme,
The evening will take place on Thursday 1st March, from 6:30pm at Sports Turf Academy at the Leicester City Training Ground in Seagrave, but spaces are limited so book early to avoid disappointment.
The evening will commence with an opportunity to learn more about applying for up to £12,800 from the Football Foundation to support the maintenance of grass pitches over a 6 year period, and how our partners at the Leicester City Sport Turf Academy can support you in making the most from the funding.
From there, experts from the Leicester City Sports Turf Academy, along with the Regional Pitch Advisor at the Grounds Management Association will deliver a technical session to provide advise and guidance on what clubs could implement in the Spring and end of season to support the maintenance of their pitches.
The evening is FREE to attend, and to book your space please click here.
Shaun Waite, Football Development and Facilities Lead commented, “We know the maintenance of pitches to ensure football is played on a good standard pitch is important to the grassroots game. It gets more players playing on a more regular basis, in a better environment. We thank our partners at the Sports Turf Academy and the Grounds Management Association for supporting this event and we are looking forward to welcoming our clubs to the Leicester City Training in Seagrave to learn more about how they can help maintain their pitches to a good standard”
