Leicestershire and Rutland County FA Youth Conference 2023

“Shape the Future of Youth Football”

Further to recent announcements, we are excited to release the full conference programme for the Leicestershire & Rutland County FA Youth Conference 2023 that is taking on Wednesday 19th April, 6:30pm – 10pm at Leicester Racecourse, which will provide stakeholders across the local grassroots game with an opportunity to help Shape the Future of Youth Football on a local and national level.

Headlining the evening, The FA will be delivering a session to listen and engage with stakeholders to explore the future of youth football in England, which will identify new and exciting opportunities to improve grassroots football for young players across the country.

From there, delivered by County FA staff and young leaders, several other localised projects, initiatives, and topics will be discussed. This will include exploring solutions to improve touchline behaviour in youth football as well as a focus on future competition formats and structures to enhance the local offer for young players. This will include an introduction, review and feedback on a new Mini Soccer Central Venue pilot project being explored for 2023/24, as well as input into the future of County FA Youth Cup competitions.

As part of the conference, there will be a break built into the evening around sunset to provide an opportunity for those observing Ramadan to break fast, along with a quiet space being provided for prayer.

The full conference programme can now be accessed and read in full here.

The evening will be free to attend but with limited spaces available we encourage you to act fast to avoid disappointment.
