Four New Members Join The Association

The LRCFA is delighted to introduce four new valuable team members who have recently joined the Association.

The Leicestershire and Rutland County FA (LRCFA) proudly introduces four new staff members to the Association, each bringing unique expertise and enthusiasm to their respective roles.

Chris Hodson joined the LRCFA in September as the Referee Support Co-Ordinator. Chris has been working closely with Jacob Lehane (Referee Development Lead) across three crucial areas which include supervising the administration of the FA Referees Course, contributing to the promotion scheme, and appointing referees for all County Cup Competitions. Chris is currently an active Level 4 referee, alongside his studies at the University of Derby as a Sports and Exercise student.

Nathan Matthie joined the Association last November as the Marketing and Communications Officer and has been steering the development and execution of the County FA Marketing and Communications plan. Holding a Journalism degree from the University of Lincoln, Nathan also oversees the management of the County FA's website and social media channels, ensuring they serve as the primary source of information for all stakeholders in the community.

November also saw the addition of Andrew Turney, who assumed the role of Football Development Officer (Male and Coaching). He is equipped with a Sports Science degree from Middlesex University and has a decade of experience in sports and development coaching. Andrew is set to play a crucial role in shaping and progressing the male football pathway within the varied league, club, and recreational environments of Leicestershire and Rutland.

The most recent addition to the team is Megan Connolly, who joined the County FA in January as the Football Development Officer (Female Pathway). Boasting 15 years of playing experience and a Sports Development degree from the University of Chichester, Megan will be spearheading the strategic development of women's and girls' football in Leicestershire and Rutland.

Joe Dunmore, Chief Executive Officer, expressed his enthusiasm for these recent additions: "We are thrilled to welcome Chris, Nathan, Andrew and Megan to our team. Their diverse skills and passion for football will undoubtedly contribute to the continued growth and success of football in Leicestershire and Rutland. We look forward to achieving great things together."
