Girls
Leicestershire and Rutland County FA is proud to work with a number of partners and organisations to ensure we provide regular playing opportunities to females in the County. Girls football is a key priority for LRCFA and we strive to provide football opportunities for girls of all ages and abilities.
There is a player pathway for young female players, from the age of five years via SSE Wildcat’s, Leicester City County Girls League through to adult, with a number of recreational opportunities also available in between to suit any need, ability and playing experience.
Leicestershire and Rutland County FA have a dedicated officer working specifically on developing the female game, with a remit of developing a wide range of new and existing opportunities for females of all ages and abilities to participate alongside offering support to clubs, players, coaches and volunteers. For talented girls who want to progress though the player pathway, the starting point would be joining a Regional Talent Club (RTC) Leicester City FC currently hold a licence to run a Tier 1 centre, which sits within the FAs talent ID programme, for more information about Leicester City’s RTC, click here or for more information about the England Talent Pathway, click here
