Give Girls Football A Go This Summer!

Pssst…not sure if you’ve heard - the BIGGEST ever Women’s sporting event hosted in England is coming this summer, the UEFA Women’s EURO 2022.

This is an incredible moment that will inspire women and girls to want to get involved in our much-loved national game.

#LETGIRLSPLAY is all about giving girls the chance to give football a go. Whether you’re already delivering women and girls football or want to take your first step to bring it into your club, #LETGIRLSPLAY Football Sessions are not to be missed!

During the month of July, give girls football a go at your club by running a taster session. Any age, any ability, any time, it’s up to you. Celebrate the UEFA Women’s Euros 2022 and give women and girls’ the opportunity to get involved with football in their local community. There’s never been a better time to get involved in Women and Girls football!

So What Do We Get For Taking Part?

• Opportunity to get more girls playing football in your community.
• Specific training tailored towards growing female football, including Female Friendly Club Training, Stepping over the Sidelines Webinar (Coach recruitment) and Player Engagement Webinar (Player Recruitment)
• Opportunity for coaching female footballers CPD.
• Support from The Fa, County FA and Girls Football Schools Partnership promoting your taster sessions.
• Post programme support, including guidance on applying for funding or Weetabix Wildcats application.
• Chance to win Lioness Tickets (First 500 applications nationally + further County specific competitions)

What's Required?

• Affiliated to LRCFA
• 2 x Qualified Coaches per session
• Sessions open to a 2 year age group
• Take bookings and complete register through The FA Events Platform
