Grow the Game Support - Drop In Sessions Available

Delivered by the Football Foundation, Grow the Game awards grants to grassroots football clubs that wish to create new teams. Applications are being encouraged from:

•    women and girls
•    male teams of Under-14s-and-upwards
•    disabled teams


Grow the Game grants lessen the burden of costs associated with starting new grassroots football teams. £1,500 is available for each new team that a club creates. Expenditure that the funding can help a club pay for includes: FA coaching courses; FA league affiliation costs; referees’ fees; first aid kits; and even football kit & equipment.

The application window for Grow the Game applications opened on Wednesday 1 February and closes on Wednesday 29 March.

The support days are taking place taking place on Wednesday 8th, 15th and 22nd March at Holmes Park, with 30 minute slots available from 10am through to 8pm.

If a club wishes to book a slot with a member of the Development staff, please email Shaun.Waite@LeicestershireFA.com, with your preferred time and date. Slots will be allocated on first come, first serve basis.

Note: clubs also have the opportunity to book an additional 30 minute slot with Development Staff to discuss progress with their Charter Standard Health Check on these support days. If club wish to also discuss their Charter Standard Health Check, please advise when booking.
